PHYSICIAN POSITIONS

Mississippi State Hospital is seeking a Staff Psychiatrist for its Inpatient Services Division. Located 15 minutes from downtown Jackson, the Joint Commission accredited facility has approximately 530 inpatient psychiatric beds. The position offers generous personal and medical leave, 12 paid holidays per year, health insurance, participation in the state of Mississippi retirement program, and other valuable benefits such as no call and no weekends. Pharmacist III - Graduation from an accredited school or college of pharmacy AND three (3) years of experience as a Licensed Pharmacist. Licensure: Possession of a valid license to practice pharmacy in Mississippi and possession of a controlled substance license; Applicant must attach a valid copy of his/her license as a Licensed Pharmacist from the Mississippi Board of Pharmacy and verification of possession of a valid controlled substance license.

Psychologist Specialist I - Qualifications are a Doctorate Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Psychology, Counseling, Counselor Education, or Community Counseling including or supplemented by the completion of two (2) psychological testing/assessment courses which are acceptable to the appointing authority.

Health Information Administrator (RHIA) - Qualifications are A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Health Information Administration; AND One (1) year work experience in Health Information Administration; Registration Requirements: Registration as a Health Information Administrator from the American Health Information Management Association (RHIA).

Division Director I - SPECIAL QUALIFICATION: MUST BE REGISTERED AS A HEALTH INFORMATION ADMINISTRATOR FROM THE AMERICAN HEALTH INFORMATION MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION. (This position is located in the Health Records
department.) EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A Master's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university; AND Five (5) years of special experience defined below, two (2) years of which must have been in line or functional administrative or advanced supervision. OR A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university; AND Six (6) years of special experience defined below, two (2) years of which must have been in line or functional administrative or advanced supervision.

Psychologist - Education Requirement: A Doctorate Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Psychology; AND Documentation Required: Holds a valid psychology license with the State Board of Psychology.

Psychologist Licensed Advanced - EXPERIENCE/EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: A Doctorate Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Psychology; AND Two (2) years of experience post-licensure. Documentation Required: Holds a valid psychology license with the State Board of Psychology.

Dietitian II, Administrative - MUST BE LICENSED AS A DIETICIAN BY THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI. EXPERIENCE/EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Master's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Dietetics, Food and Nutrition, Food Service Management, Institutional Food Management, or Home Economics; AND One (1) year of experience in food service operation; AND Certification/Registration: Possession of an active registration card issued by the American Dietetic Association; OR Education: A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in
Dietetics, Food and Nutrition, Food Service Management, Institutional Food Management, or Home Economics AND Two (2) years of experience in food service operation; AND Certification/Registration: Possession of an active registration card issued by the American Dietetic Association. Must be licensed as a Dietician by the State of Mississippi.

Nurse Practitioner - Mississippi State Hospital is seeking a full time psychiatric nurse practitioner for an inpatient psychiatric unit. The incumbent must be certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (ANCC) and/or the American Nursing Credentialing Center (AANP). Also, must be currently certified as a Nurse Practitioner by the Mississippi Board of Nursing.
